We are delighted to bring back Group Classes!
Our Group Classes are not your average neighborhood-pet-store classes.
After having taught group classes for other businesses where these classes were the main-ticket dog training option, I couldn't help but notice how much frustration and stress there was in the room on both ends of the leash for the first several weeks of a course.
I took note right then that I would want to make some changes if I ever ran my own dog training business.
Our group classes are only available to dogs who have completed a consultation or other service with us.
But, why?
This ensures that each dog owner is able to keep their dog both safe and focused in the setting, and get to make the most of this learning experience with their dog. If we have some dogs who are brand new to training and are too easily distracted by being around other dogs, then it takes the fun and progress away from them and others.

Class Descriptions
Mindful manners
Our Mindful Manners class is our class for dog owners and their dogs/puppies over five months of age that are looking to dive into the everyday skills that a mindful canine companion should have. In this class, we will cover getting the key, basic behaviors such as sit, down, stay, walking on leash, ignoring others/distractions down pat! We also work on polite manners such leave-it and not jumping up. This class is limited to five dogs to ensure everyone has enough space to be successful.
PUPPY KINDERGARDEN
Our Puppy Kindergarden class is our class for owners of puppies from nine weeks to five months of age that are looking to instill the best possible foundation in their new companion. In this class, we work on teaching your puppy to respond to their name, to be comfortable with handling at the vet/groomer, obedience basics (sit, down, stay), introduction to walking nicely on-leash, as well as cover topics like house-training, crate training, preventing separation-anxiety, mouthing, and building the best relationship possible with your pup! This class is limited to five puppies to ensure everyone has enough space to be successful.
Tails on the town
Tails on the Town is the Alumni-Only class for those dog-owners who would love to enjoy the dog-friendly world together more! In these classes, we will be exploring different hikes, dog-friendly patios, coffee shops, wineries, breweries, events, and more! We will be working on holding our dogs to the highest social-standards as we get to traverse around the Tri-State Area together and enjoy all that this area has to offer for it's dog-owning community!
This class will be held at various spots all around the tri-state area! Be sure to check the location when signing up for this class!

Canine good citizen
Canine Good Citizen is an Alumni-Only class for people who are looking to perfect their dogs' more "basic" skills, for all of those real-world situations. This "Canine Good Citizen" class is modeled after the AKC CGC test items , with a twist of adding greater levels of challenge! We will be working on advancing those basic manners (sit, down, stay, recall, polite greetings, & ignoring distractions, to name a few!) as well as giving these behaviors more real-life application challenges to work through together. If you and your dog end up rocking this class, you will have the option to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and get your dog his or her AKC CGC title, as Anneliese is a certified CGC Evaluator!
This class will take place both indoors at our training space in Danbury. This class may also occasionally be offered off-campus as well.

SPORTS EDITION
Sports Edition is a class for people who are interested in giving their dog another level of training experience. Sport and trick-training are great ways to mentally stimulate your dog while building a stronger relationship with him or her, expend some of that excess energy, and dip your toes into the world of dog sports. We will cover how and why we use markers, getting better engagement, building motivation for your dog for training, how to properly play with your dog, and how to teach a variety of fun behaviors!
This class will be held indoors at our training space in Danbury. |
