Private lessons are for those clients who want to be involved in every step of their dog's training and have the ability to fully commit to the process.

You work hands-on with the trainer during the sessions that are geared towards the goals that you have with your dog. These lessons can take place in your home, a local park or other dog-friendly location, or at our training space in Carmel, New York.
We do travel to NYC and around the area for lessons by request.

Together in these sessions, we typically work on:

• The basics : sit, down, stay
• Proper manners : not mouthing or nuisance barking
• Leash skills : not pulling or reacting at distractions
• Life skills : being able to settle, in the home & out in public
• Social skills : appropriate greetings & manners with people
• How to ensure your dog's needs are being met
• And most important of all- reliably coming when called!
• This is a general outline of the more common requests, but we are always willing to customize the training plan to you and your dogs' specific needs and goals!

Private Lesson Packages
You may be wondering why we don't offer packages of private lessons, like so many other training companies do.
​Simply put- we don't know how many sessions it will take to accomplish your goals. Private lessons demand more from you as the dog owner, and you need to be putting in the work between lessons in order to see the results.
Lessons are for us to coach you and your dog on how to work on things together, but each owner/family has different needs, demands, and dogs. Our follow-up sessions are discounted to allow for the same monetary benefit of a package, and we will happily guide you with suggestions with when to return for additional training sessions.
