Private lessons are for those clients who want to be involved in every step of their dog's training and have the ability to fully commit to the process.

You work hands-on with the trainer during the sessions that are geared towards the goals that you have with your dog. These lessons can take place in your home, a local park or other dog-friendly location, or at our new training center in Danbury, CT.
We do travel throughout Fairfield &Putnam Counties, the Hudson Valley, to NYC and surrounding areas as well!.

Commonly covered lesson topics

• The basics: sit, down, stay
• Proper manners: not mouthing or nuisance barking
• Leash skills: not pulling or reacting at distractions
• Life skills: being able to settle, in the home & out in public
• Social skills: appropriate greetings & manners with people
• How to ensure your dog's needs are being met
• And most important of all- reliably coming when called!
• This is a general outline of the more common requests, but we are always willing to customize the training plan to you and your dogs' specific needs and goals!

What to expect

 You will be working one-on-one with our Head Trainer in your lessons. These sessions will involve both discussion and practical work with you and your dog. We will discuss details about your dog's behavior, training history and dive into getting started together. You will work together with the trainer towards your goals during this session, and outline what to work on with your dog going forward.

What to bring

We love for you to bring anyone and everyone that you'd like along for your dog's session! This is one-on-one, private training for your dog and anyone you'd like to have involved in the training process. Tasty treats and your dog's walking gear are helpful items to bring- we also have a growing storefront, should you forget or want to get any necessities!
